Membership in the CILFA association is required of all students. Annual fee: 10 euros payable upon arrival.

If there are 4 people or less on a course, CILFA reserves the right to reduce the overall hours of that course. Lessons are not postponed or refunded due to public holidays. In addition, during each DELF / DALF exam session, maximum one course per class may be dropped without replacement.

In case of withdrawal the tuition balance is not refunded. It is always possible to re-enroll in courses that were paid for but not completed as long as membership in the CILFA association remains valid (application fees retained).

In the event of withdrawal during the course, no refund or deferral is allowed except in cases of force majeure.

Force Majeure Cases :

  1. Death of a parent, sibling, descendant, or spouse after the course has begun :
    • A death certificate, proof of kinship, and a return flight ticket (if applicable) must be submitted to the administration.
  2. Illness occurring after the course has started:
    • A medical certificate from a doctor based in France, a return flight ticket (if applicable, purchased after the illness began), and any supporting documents must be provided.

Only in these two cases, the unused course hours will be refunded, excluding any started weeks, and a penalty corresponding to the application fee will be applied.

Professional or academic obligations in France or abroad are not considered force majeure.

If CILFA is forced to close due to a government decision, courses will be held online, and no refund will be given.

Cancellation Requests:

All cancellation and refund requests due to force majeure must be submitted in writing to the administration and include the necessary supporting documents.

Accommodation Conditions

If accommodation is arranged through CILFA, you must provide a valid ID and valid residence permit.
Accommodation fees are to be paid directly to CILFA, which will charge a monthly insurance and administrative fee of up to €20.

Insurance:

Students housed by CILFA are automatically covered by insurance for the entire duration of their stay, 24/7.
This includes civil liability, legal protection, bodily injury, and damage to personal belongings.

Right of Withdrawal

All students have a right of withdrawal of 7 days (or 14 days if the contract is signed online) from the date CILFA receives the payment, without needing to provide a reason. If the 7 or 14-day period ends on a Saturday, Sunday, or public holiday, it is extended to the next business day. To exercise this right, the student must notify CILFA in writing, either by email or postal mail, within the applicable legal timeframe.
