What is DELF-DALF?
The DELF and DALF are diplomas awarded by the French Ministry of Education to prove the French-language skills of non-French candidates.
There are six independent diplomas, which correspond, respectively, to the six levels of the Council of Europe’s Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL).
At each level, 4 skills are evaluated: listening, speaking, reading and writing.

DALF C1 sample papers, DALF, C2
What is the DELF for?
The DELF A2 is a diploma certifying the level of French mastery required to obtain a resident card or resident card with the endorsement “long-term resident – EU” (Order of February 21, 2018).
The DELF B1 is a diploma certifying the level of French mastery required for candidates for French nationality (Decree 2011-1265 of October 11, 2011).
The DELF B2 exempts the holder from any linguistic testing for enrollment in French universities (Order of January 18, 2008). Please note that the level required may vary according to establishment and/or study program requirements.
